History is Where You Stand

Part 18: Interviews with Old-Timers

There's no easy way to determine who is an old-timer and who isn't and it probably depends on where you are. Can you be an old-timer in Dawson Creek if you came after the railway? Perhaps not, but who is an old-timer in Tumbler Ridge? What do the Cree and Beaver think of the concept? Anyway, this section contains interviews with a large number of people who in one way or another qualify as Peace River Old-Timers. Most of these interviews are actually transcripts of tape-recordings from the Calverley Collection.
